Program Description

Python has become one of the most popular programming languages. This program explores complex and applied areas of Python. Students will learn how to use this knowledge to work with data structures, develop custom scripts, GUI applications, and portable exe programs. Secondly, the Interactive Website Design program presents a wealth of technologies to aspiring web developers interested in creating and maintaining interactive websites. The program covers popular web design techniques using core web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery, along with an introduction to CSS Front-end frameworks. The program concludes with a self-paced portfolio workshop to showcase and market your skills.

Application Procedure

WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

  • Prerequisites - Must be competent with computers, familiar with using the internet, and some programming
  • Other - WIOA students must have initial and ongoing academic advising
