Program Description
The Tukiendorf Training Institute offers EKG Technician Certification Program for people who want to work in medical field.
EKG Technicians are responsible for performing electrocardiogram tests in hospitals and physician offices. These tests are used to monitor and record electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. This course provides the student with instructions for collecting information and data about a patients heart using electrocardiography. After finishing the program, a student should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, identify the phases of the cardiac cycle, demonstrate the ability to recognize normal and abnormal EKG's, and be able to properly set up and use EKG equipment. Each course ends with a national exam that is conducted at TTI. After passing the test each student receives their NHA certificate, which is recognized and accepted in every state in the country.

2. Provide and complete training provider exploration form.
3. Submit High School/GED diploma.
4. Sign and date student enrollment agreement. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
