Program Description
The Tukienforf Training Institute offers a Clinical Medical Assistant program to help build new skills and prepare individuals for entry level positions in the medical profession. This program is a basic introduction to the medical field and helps the individual learn the basics of a Clinical Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants perform many clerical duties. Students will learn how to take phone calls, greet patients, update and file patient medical records, fill out insurance forms, handle correspondence, schedule appointments, arrange for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handle billing and bookkeeping. As part of the clinical training, students will learn to take medical histories and record vital signs, explain treatment procedures to patients, prepare patients for examination, assist the physician during the examination, collect and prepare laboratory specimens, dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments instruct patients about medication and special diets, prepare

Application Procedure
1. Bring WIOA information and interview with a staff member.
2. Provide student exploratory form for completion.
3. Submit High school/GED Diploma.
4. Sign student enrollment agreement. Physical exam form must be completed by the student's primary care physician or another qualified healthcare provider.
The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
