Program Description
Tukiendorf Training Institute offers a Basic Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program for individuals who want to work in the medical field. CNA's work primarily in nursing homes to give daily care that patients expect and deserve. This course is designed to train health care assistants in basic skills necessary to assist nurses in a variety of health care settings and to be efficient health care team members. The Basic Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program provided by Tukiendorf Training Institute, prepares the student for Illinois Certification as a CNA. It is designed to provide the student with nursing theory, laboratory and clinical experience necessary to work as a CNA in a variety of health care settings. Instruction will be held at T.T.I. and the clinical component will be held at local nursing homes.

1. Bring WIOA information & interview with a staff member.
2. Provide & complete training provider exploration form.
3. Submit High School/GED diploma
4. Sign & date student enrollment agreement. Criminal background check must be completed at an appropriate fingerprinting location. Physical exam form must be completed by the student's primary care physician or another qualified healthcare provider. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
