Program Description
The Tukiendorf Training Institute offers a Hemodialysis Technician with Phlebotomy Technician component. This two component program will allow individuals to work in dialysis clinics, physician offices, group practices, hospitals, independent laboratories, health maintenance organizations and public health facilities. Students will take Phlebotomy Technician component to maximize their educational experience. Duties of a Hemodialysis Technician include monitoring patients during dialysis treatment. Phlebotomy Technician includes: drawing blood, preparing specimens for storage and testing, assembling equipment and verifying patient's records.

Application Procedure
1. Bring WIOA information and meet with a staff member. 2. provide and complete training provider exploration form. 3. Submit High School/GED diploma. 4. Sign and date student enrollment agreement. Physical exam form must be completed by the student's primary care physician or another qualified healthcare provider. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
