Program Description

Graduates of this degree program understand the planning and coordination of health services in a variety of settings, and know the information and processes used to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases. They acquire critical-thinking skills through a program of general education and are able to apply them to the healthcare setting. Graduates can apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate facts and theories pertaining to healthcare management; locate, evaluate, and integrate appropriate primary and secondary sources; effectively communicate ideas through speaking and writing; recognize and address complex ethical situations; and operate effectively within a continually changing environment. Graduates value communication, critical thinking and problem solving, scientific and information literacy, fiancial literacy, diversity awareness, and knowledge creation skills and the need to incorporate them in meaningful ways.
