Graduates of this certificate program know
how to code healthcare data using ICD and CPT
coding principals, and understand how these
skills contribute to other areas in the healthcare
facility. Students know how to navigate a health
record and abstract information necessary to
correctly code the medical information. They
know medical terminology, anatomy, pathology
and the effective use of medical coding software
