Program Description
The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program is a 5 to 8 week program that prepares students into their roles and responsibilities as nursing assistants in long term care facilities and other health care settings. Through lecture/discussion, supervised laboratory and actual clinical experience, students are provided with the knowledge and skills needed to provide basic nursing care for patients in various health care facilities. Students are eligible to take the IL Nurse Aide Written Competency Exam after successful completion of the program. The BNATP is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

1) Schedule and visit ICI Campus for Initial Program Advisement Session with Admissions Staff; 2) Submit completed application forms and required documents - Photo ID, Social Security Card, Proof of Immigration Status, Valid CPR Card, Physical Exam & Immunization Records, Healthcare Worker Background Check Authorization and other signed school forms; and 3) Demonstrate 8th Grade Level Verbal & Quantitative Skills through Admission Basic Skills Test. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
