Program Description

The Basic Certificate (BC) in Preschool Education provides students with the foundation in theoretical and developmentally appropriate practices for working with children and their families. Upon completion of the 16 hours, students can seek entry-level positions in programs or agencies that provide services and education to preschool children and their families. This certificate/credential is stackable, and the course work is also applicable to the Advanced Certificate in Preschool Education and the AAS degree.

Candidate must submit online admissions application (applycredit.ccc.edu), complete financial aid application (www.fafsa.ed.gov), complete placement test (math: my.ccc.edu), residency verification: as proof of residency, the student must bring a current State of Illinois Driver License or a State of Illinois State ID: meet the college advisor (my.ccc.edu), new student orientation (ccc.edu/orientation); obtain your student ID in room V-132, and purchase textbooks at CCC Online Bookstore (ccc.edu/textbooks). The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
