Computer technology has revolutionized the processes used in drafting and design and is referred to as CAD. Technicians must understand the principles, techniques and terminology associated with a traditional drafting and design process. Also be able to understand computer concepts and techniques, and apply drafting principles to a computer based drafting environment.
