Program Description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as modality is performed using a specialized scanner. It has patient table where systems that generate radio waves, magnetic fields, and a computer workstation. As a MRI Technologist you will gain the fundamentals of electricity and magnetism, it offers in-depth explanation of how MRI works. In MRI scanner is usually shaped like a large rectangle with a hole in the center, contains the systems that generate the magnetic field. This course not only serves as introduction to MR imaging, but also as general overview of the didactic component of the clinical externship required for certification.

Admission requirements and procedures: certificate programs and applicant must be at least 18 years old and provide proof of having earned a high school diploma, certificate or other proof of graduation from an accredited secondary education institution or the relevant equivalent of such graduation or GED certificate.
