Program Description

Basic nurse assistant is a progrogram for people of age 18 and above. Basic nurse assistant will become certifird nurse assistant upon completion of the State of Illinois competency evaluation examination.The Nursing assistant program is known as the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program according to Illinois Department of Public Health. Nurse Assistant after successful completion of the IDPH competency evaluation examination will be called Certified Nurse Assistant. Cerified Nurse Assistant can be employed to assist all licensed nurses to perform delegated tasks such as actities of daily living tasks.

Application Procedure

Student should appear in person at 523 South Halsted Street, Chicago Heights, Illinois 60411, after initial screening on the phone. Student will be invited to the school by appointment with the student's legal state identification and social security card. The student will be required to complete a three page application. Please bring three names and phone numbers of family references. The student will take a test of basic math, reading and writing. The student will take home a form to get a school physical examination per IDPH policy. The process of application and registration takes about 30 minutes. The maximum tuition amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
