Program Description

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are found in almost every medical arena including hospital surgical floors, nursing homes, and private duty. Our program meets the requirements of the Illinois Nursing Reform Act of 1979 and leads to certification of compliance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The course will consist of 80 hours of classroom theory instruction and 40 hours of clinicals as required by IDPH. Placement data indicates that currently 1,045 CNA jobs are available with in 25 mile radius of zip code 60640. A Phlebotomy Technician obtains blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop the comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom work includes terminology, anatomy, physiology and blood collection procedures. Program also includes training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods. Application Procedure

The customer will attend the information session explaining the CCLC process for the enrollment procedure. The customer is required to provide a government issued ID, social security card and high school diploma or GED. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $5,000.
