Program Description
Industrial Maintenance is a growing field with a high demand. All manufacturing companies require someone to maintain the equipment on the shop floor in order to reduce down-time. Maintenance Technicians need a wide range of skills from electrical / hydraulic to welding to precision machining and everything in between.
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship is a three year program in which students attend courses in shortened semesters of only 8-weeks in the fall and spring. The rest of the year the apprentice receives industrial maintenance training from a dedicated mentor at the hiring company.
Industrial maintenance mechanics completing this program will have earned an AAS degree in Mechatronics, three NIMS credentials, a certification from the Department of Labor that they are fully qualified for their occupation, and three years of experience.
