Program Description
The objective of the Electrical Technician study program is to educate the student, with theory and hands on training, to a degree of competency in the Electrical field, enabling the student to perform the associated skills, and pass the certification examination; all leading to obtain gainful employment.
This program prepares students for the NFPA 70 NEC - National Electrical Code exam for various municipalities in the area. The cost of the exam varies, depending on the municipality in which the student takes the test. The exam fees are typically between $100 - $250, but NOTE: *the exam costs cannot be covered by the school and are not included in the program costs, below. The student will have to pay for the licensing test and then request reimbursement from their WIOA grant-issuing office.
