Program Description
Why choose CDL America Inc.? Our one-on-one teaching techniques and effective hands on training offers our students a chance to learn and master the full driving experience. The Intermediate course is an 8 week program. This course consists of 200-hours, which includes the following: 90 hours of in-classroom, 20 hours of observation, 40 hour Pre-Trip hands on, 25 hours of yard skills, and 25 hours of road. As well, students have the option to take their Hazmat endorsement it will be an additional 20 hours of classroom time after they obtain their CDL class A. Hazmat endorsement includes: 20 hours of classroom, ELDT Hazmat theory test, ELDT Hazmat theory submission/verification, and Hazmat study guide, TSA background-check and Hazmat Secretary of State fee.

We offer a brief 10-15 minute orientation to better understand the process. In order to Register as a student you will need to bring in your Valid IL Driver's License and fill out the enrollment form.

- Prerequisites - Be 18 years of age or older. Have an Illinois Driver License, that won't expire within a year.
- Other - Clean motor vehicle record
