Program Description
CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for establishing a career pathway in IT. It is an entry-level computer certification for PC computer service technicians. Earning A+ certification demonstrates that students possess the skills necessary to support enterprise IT infrastructures. Upon completing this course, students will gain the essential skills, technical expertise and foundational knowledge of todays most relevant technologies, so that they confidently conduct the tasks necessary to install, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, repair and perform preventative maintenance on computer hardware and operating system. The CompTIA A+ Core Series requires candidates to pass two exams: Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002). The exam is designed to certify the competency of entry-level PC computer service professionals in installing, maintaining, customizing, and operating personal computers. In addition to preparing for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-100-2) exams required for CompTIA A+ Certification this training provides the skills to support users of personal computer hardware and operating systems.

Application Procedure
Potential students need to apply through the Jeremi Vocational Institute website. They have to attach their proof of graduation and ID and submit to the school. They can choose the payment option for the program during the application process. Students also have the option to apply for their desired program at the school during the schools business hours. Students will be required to provide proof of grad and state ID at that time. Once they have been approved and funding has been secured, they will be able to attend the required school orientation where they review and sign their enrollment agreement form before attending their first day of class. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $5,000.
