Program Description

Illinois Health Careers offers an affordable and flexible evening program for dental assistant training twice a week. This is a 10-weeks program expanded over 20 modules, each of 2.5 hours. THEORETICAL AND CLINICAL COMPONENTS, COVERING DENTAL AND ORAL ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY, CHAIRSIDE ASSISTING, RADIOLOGY, IMPRESSIONS, INSTRUMENT IDENTIFICATION, RESTORATIVE MATERIALS AND PROCEDURES, LAB MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES. This program will shape your dental assistant career and will teach you about all on-the-job skills and dental operations with its correct methodologies. Our programs are taught in live operating clinics. students will demonstrate skills in trello intraoral imaging, Panoramic and Ceph xrays. Surgical set up and tear down, sterilization. Chair side assisting and we also offer training materials to sit for the state boards upon successful completion of the program. In addition our program has Expanded Function training embedded in the course for Coronal polishing and sealant.

Student will fill out enrollement application. ILLINOIS HEALTH CAREERS APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A COPY OF HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED AND MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER BY THE TIME OF THEIR PROGRAM COMPLETION. The tuition cap for this program is $5,000.00
