Program Description
A Certified Nursing Assistant is a healthcare professional who provides basic, hands-on patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses (RNs or LPNs). CNAs play a critical role in supporting the daily healthcare needs of patients in various settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and home care.
An Advanced CNA is a CNA who has undergone additional training and certification to take on expanded responsibilities beyond basic patient care. ACNAs typically work in settings where advanced skills are required, such as hospitals or specialty care units. The role bridges the gap between CNAs and licensed practical nurses (LPNs), offering patients a higher level of care.
