Program Description

Level 1 Description: Council of Supply Chain Management (CSCMP) SCProTM Fundamentals Certificate Program: Supply Management & Procurement. The Supply Management & Procurement training track presents the details of how goods and services are ordered by converting purchase requisitions, created by the demand planning organization, to purchase orders that are issued to suppliers. In this track, specific emphasis is placed on supplier identification, selection and approval, sourcing activities, negotiations with suppliers and the overall systematic selection of goods and services. Technology innovations along with numerous options for transportation modes enable procurement organizations to source items globally to achieve the best value solutions to fulfill their requirements. Level 2 Description: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB). Focuses on both Advanced Lean Techniques and Six Sigma 3Green Belt4 methodologies. Integrates theories of business and statistics, with the goal of achieving tangible results through the elimination of waste and improved quality. Includes project planning and various statistical tools to equip students to be Green Belt certified and become a practitioner of Lean Six Sigma at their organization. Level 3 Description: The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM®) designation provides the identification, analysis, determination, procurement and fulfillment of the goods and services as organization needs to meet both short and long-term objectives. This designation provides the knowledge needed for both processionals and employers to effectively develop processes and relationships that create a competitive advantage through innovation, cost management, quality improvement, asset optimization, risk mitigation, social responsibility and sustainability.
