Program Description
Prepares students to function as EKG Technicians and enable them to take the ASPT-EKG Technician exam and other national certification exams. Includes important practice and background information on anatomy of the heart and physiology, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, laboratory assisting, electrocardiography and echocardiography.

Application Procedure
Applicants must be WIOA certified by a WIOA Service Provider. Program costs for Tuition, Books and Fees are subject to change. This program is non credit and operated by the Triton College Continuing Education Department. For more information, please call (708) 456-0300 X3773. Cost of the certification exam is the responsibility of the WIOA participant or the WIA Service Provider sending the student. This program now contains a semester long Office Technology component. Students that need to be CPR Certified will nee to take the HTH C82 CPR/AED class. Students who have a current CPR Certification will not need to take this class. The maximum tuition and fees amount for this occupation is $3,000.

- HS Diploma/GED
- Language - Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Writing - Must take Triton College placement test
