Program Description
The 60-hour EKG Technician program uses theory and hands-on activities to prepare participants for entry-level employment in the healthcare field and national certification. Participants will learn: Anatomy and physiology; Infection control practices; HIPAA regulations and ethical standards; Basic principles of performing, recording, and interpreting electrocardiograms in the medical office or acute care clinical setting; Best practices for preparing patients for Holter and ambulatory monitoring.
