Program Description
The 60-hour Pharmacy Technician training prepares participants for entry-level pharmacy technician positions and for industry-recognized certification through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or the National Healthcareer Association Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential. Through live instruction and hands-on activities, students will learn medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic anatomy related to pharmacology, and pharmaceutical calculations. Participants will also develop foundational knowledge of medication handling, pharmacy operations, and patient safety practices needed to prepare for national certification exams.
