Program Description
The 79.5-hour Medical Administrative Assistant training prepares participants for the industry-recognized National Healthcare Association Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification. Through live discussions and hands-on activities, participants will learn medical terminology, medical ethics and law, insurance billing and coding basics, telephone communication techniques, appointment scheduling, medical records management, practice finance procedures, and professional interpersonal skills needed in a medical or healthcare office environment. Participants will also develop the administrative skills necessary to prepare for the NHA CMAA certification exam.
