Program Description
The clinical laboratory assistant (CLA) program leads to a basic vocational certificate and provides students with the skills necessary to collect and process specimens, prepare slides and cultures, and perform point-of-care testing procedures. Post graduate opportunities would be to go on to Clinical Laboratory Technician (AAS)
15 students accepted each year (new classes start in January)
Admission Criteria: Specific grade requirements for BIO110, CHM101 and MTH098. Score in 25th percentile or better in each section of the PSB-HOA exam and pass a criminal background check and drug test.
