Program Description
Courses that familiarize students with manufacturing programming theories and practices in designing and assembling products in an integrated computer-assisted environment. Includes topics on point-to-point and contouring systems using APT, AD-APT, and COMPACT II programming languages systems design and operation hardware and software selection interconnection of motion controllers for robotics and CAM and basic linkages among CAD, CNC, robotics, CAM, and electronic controls. Courses such as CNC Programming, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Programmable Controllers, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing are assigned here.
