Program Description
The Nursing Program is developed around a career ladder concept. All students are admitted as a Registered Nurse Associate Degree nursing student. Those completing the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing curriculum may enroll in NUR 138. On succesful completion of NUR 138, the students may choose to exit as a practical nurse or continue on into the second year of the ADN (ARN) program. The program leading to the certificate of Practical Nurse is approved by the I.D.F.P.R. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination for the Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN). The program leading to the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN-RN) is approved by the I.D.F.P.R. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Exam for the Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). Completion of the RN program does not guarantee licensure.

Application Procedure
The Career Coach or student should contact the Career Services Offices at 708-656-8000 ext. 2468 to make an appointment to have the exploration form completed. Prerequisite courses and placement tests may be required which will increase total costs. Students are responsible for taking college placement test (when needed). All information is current as of Fall 2020 and is subject to change (including cost of books, fees and required materials). Student must have picture ID or proof of residency. Out of district tuition cost is $18,576.00 and the total out of district cost is $25,237.00.
The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
