Program Description
This curriculum provides students with the skills required for entry-level employment in the shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding processes. Students will also gain a basic knowledge of various welding processes, welding and cutting safety, oxyfuel cutting, and blueprint reading as it pertains to welding.

Application Procedure
The Case Manager or student should contact the Career Services Office at 708-656-8000 ext. 2468 to make an appointment to have the exploration form completed. Prerequisite courses and placement tests may be required which will increase total costs.
Students are responsible for taking college placement test (when needed). All information is current as of Fall 2021 and is subject to change (including cost of books, fees and required materials). Student must have picture ID or proof of residency. Out of district tuition cost is $5,192.00 and the total out of district cost is $6,702.00. The maximoun tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
