Program Description
This course provides instruction for students up to the level of Emergency Medical Technician
Basic. The course emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to provide emergency medical
care at the basic life support level. Forty hours of clinical experience is included as a course
requirement. Upon successful completion of all requirements of the course, students are eligible to sit for the Illinois Department of Public Health EMT-B State Examination. Prerequisite: Evidence of
High School Diploma or GED completion

Application Procedure
The Case Manager or student should contact the Career Services Office at 708-656-8000 ext. 2550 or e-mail at careerservices@morton.edu to make an appointment to have the exploration form completed. Prerequisite courses and placement tests may be required which will increase total costs.
Students are responsible for taking college placement test (when needed). All information is current as of Spring 2023 and is subject to change (including cost of books, fees and required materials). Student must have picture ID or proof of residency. Out of district tuition cost is $2,322.00 and the total out of district cost is $3,315.00. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
