Program Description

KCCs Nursing Assistant ICAPS program is a pathway for adults 16 and older, and not enrolled in high school, to simultaneously pursue a Nursing Certificate while obtaining contextualized academic and workforce preparation support. Students can enter at multiple points throughout their journey. Depending on their prior knowledge, students can enroll in the health careers bridge course. If successfully, they can then enroll in the Nursing Assistant program in conjunction with the ICAPS adult education support course. If an adult education student is academically prepared for the Nursing Assistant program, but lacks a high school diploma, they can accelerated their training by simultaneously enrolling in the ICAPS adult education support course and the Nursing Assistant course.
