Program Description
The Policing Certificate prepares students with basic knowledge of the role of policing in the criminal justice system, focusing on the functions of maintaining public order and safety, enforcing the law, and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities. This certificate program is not a police academy. Students may choose to continue working toward an AAS in Criminal Justice, as the courses in this certificate count toward the AAS degree.
