Program Description

Human Resource (HR) professionals manage people-related needs and concerns in the workplace, including recruiting, onboarding new staff, analyzing performance, managing benefits, coordinating employee training, and other related tasks. Through a combination of business law, ethics, psychology, and management classes, MCCs Human Resources Management Certificate will prepare students for entry-level positions in the HR field. Students will learn problem-solving strategies for the workplace, employee motivational theories, effective communication skills, and important state and federal regulations and labor laws. The program will also cover the best ways of recruiting, onboarding new employees, writing position descriptions, determining personnel needs and salaries, maintaining employee records, conducting performance reviews, and more.
