The Pre-Apprenticeship Welding Technician Certificate is designed for students seeking a career in pipefitting, ironworking, boiler making, and other construction-related welding fields. This certificate gives you a head start on the welding skills and foundational skills that construction-related welding apprenticeships are looking for. This certificate stacks into the Advanced Welding Technician Certificate, giving you a pathway into advanced careers in production welding. This certificate allows you to become eligible for specialized welding certifications through the American Welding Society (AWS).
