Program Description
You'll be prepared to earn EPA Section 608 Certification. The Commercial Air Conditioning II Certificate prepares entry-level heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians to work on various commercial air conditioning systems. You'll develop a basic understanding of commercial split-system air conditioning units, air source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, rooftop air conditioning systems, direct digital controls, low-pressure chillers, and humidity control. Training includes electrical troubleshooting, servicing and cleaning commercial air conditioning systems, brazing and soldering torches, HVAC manifold gauge sets, refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, multimeters, and diagnostic test equipment.
