Program Description
The Paramedic Certificate includes four paramedic modules and one internship semester. You will earn 38 hours of college credit and be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians NREMT) Exam. A successful NREMT exam score allows the student to apply for a professional license in all 50 states. This training is considered advanced emergency medical care and can help you obtain jobs in EMS, the fire service, hospital systems, and private industry. The McHenry County College Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
