Program Description
Students will study, train and obtain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). While in classroom study students will receive a physical, drug/alchohol test and preparation to successfully receive their CDL-Commercial Driver's License permit. While working in the yard students will learn the necessary pre-trip and how to handle a truck including backing up. On the road students will get real experience; dealing with traffic, changing lanes, backing up in tight spots and making turns. With successful completion of the program students will have a valid Illinois Commercial Drivers License and will receive help and information for job placement in their new profession. Schedule options include full time days: 8 hrs day for 4 weeks; or part time evenings: 4 hrs evening for 8 weeks.

Application Procedure
Students should get a copy of their Motor Vehicle Report(MVR)from the state before applying for program. Students with drug/alcohol issues, recent felony and/or a history of driving violations may not be eligible to enroll. A pre-enrollment interview will be conducted. Included in cost of tuition is a $95.00 DOT pre-employment physical / NCDA 5-panel drug screen.
