Program Description
The Medical Laboratory Technology Associate Degree Program is offered through the Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market (SICCM) and is a cooperative program with John A. Logan College, Rend Lake College, Shawnee Community College and Southeastern Illinois College. Graduates are preared for employment in clinical laboratories of hospitals, clinics, physicians offices and other health care facilities performing varied laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests. Laboratory tests are performed on body fluids such as blood, which is obtained by the technician through venipuncture.
