Program Description

The EMT-Basic course will provide students the necessary skills to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support with an ambulance or other specialized service. Students will be able to perform the following tasks at the basic level: Recognize the nature of the patient's condition and assess needs for emergency care. Administer the appropriate emergency care. Lift, move and/or position the patient to ease discomfort and prevent further injury.
