Program Description

A thorough introductory course on human form and function, this course presents a large, complex body of scientific knowledge in an easily understood, conversational writing style. Focusing on concepts rather than descriptions, the text uses a "big picture" theme of body function and also explains the body's homeostatic regulation. Every new textbook includes a downloadable e-book, which is a fully searchable, electronic version of the text plus learning resources from Anatomy & Physiology Online - with animations by body system, images, interactive exercises, and more. Upon successful completion of the prep-course the student will be able to recognize and use terminology, general principles associated with the structure and function(s) of human body systems. Student will be able to apply normal and clinical concepts of human anatomy and physiology. Recognize, identify, and state the major function(s) of human organs based on text and lecture information. To successfully complete the prep-course, students must complete all prep-course requirements. In addition to meeting all prep-course requirements, students must also meet the minimum attendance requirement which is a minimum of 144 clock hours. All financial obligations to Verve College must also be fulfilled. Upon successful completion of all the requirements of the prep-course, the student will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Application Procedure

Prospective students may schedule an appointment at either location; Chicago or Oak Brook. Students will meet with an advisor to discuss their career paths and various programs. Students who are eligible are asked to bring in any paperwork from their IETC office which must be filled out along with the counselor's contact information. Once a student's voucher has been approved, they may come to the location of their choice and register. In order to register, the student must bring in the original voucher. For any other required documents needed at the time of registration, the student should contact their admissions representative. **For LWIA 07, this program is in an occupation that qualifies for the higher $8,000 approved tuition amount
