Program Description
The Applied Trades Certificate program offers students a flexible, short-term pathway to develop foundational trades skills. In this under-30-credit-hour program, students can choose to explore a specific construction trades occupational area such as Basic Electricity (BEL), Welding (WEL), or Heating, Ventilation, Air, and Refrigeration (HVAC).
By completing the certificate, students gain practical, entry-level skills that prepare them for immediate work opportunities or serve as a solid base for further education or apprenticeship in a trade. This program is ideal for those seeking a quick start in the trades with options for future growth.
