Program Description
This 19 credit hour certificate program is designed to provide students with the skill set to perform preventive maintenance service and repairs on residential and commercial refrigeration systems. Emphasis is placed on practical application to perform system diagnostics and develop troubleshooting techniques.

Application Procedure
WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

- HS Diploma/GED
- Math - 9th grade level
- Reading - 9th grade level
- Language - Instruction is in English
- Writing - Per required Compass cut-off scores
- Other - College advising is required for WIOA clients
