Program Description

Students will learn all eight CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) domains. Plus, they will validate knowledge by meeting the necessary preparation requirements to qualify to sit for the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification exam. Participants will study how to manage communications and network security, along with administering software development security. Secondly, the PMP Certification Prep course prepares new and experienced managers to excel with structured project implementation and managerial skills. Individuals with less than three years work experience can qualify to take the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Highly experienced individuals with 7500 hours of Project Management experience or 4500 hours of Project Management experience, along with a Bachelor's Degree can qualify to apply for PMP designation.

Application Procedure

WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship for a small fee is requested. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
