Program Description
This 240-hour online Pharmacy Technician course will prepare you to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies or other health care settings. Learn Federal law, medications, aseptic techniques, calculations, and everyday pharmacy operations. Prepares you for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. Textbook, exam preparation materials and fees for one sitting of the PTCB exam included. Must be at least 18 years of age at time of enrollment.

3WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
