Program Description
This 34-credit-hour certificate program builds on the Maintenance I Certificate to prepare students for more advanced maintenance jobs in commercial or industrial maintenance. Learn about various aspects of commercial maintenance with this 32-credit-hour certificate program. This is an ideal program for someone interested in entering the more advanced fields of commercial and industrial maintenance. Take classes in electrical wiring, prints and schematics, carpentry, plumbing, small equipment maintenance, heating principles, welding, machining processes, fire prevention principles, refrigeration fundamentals and more. Harper College is an ideal place to study commercial maintenance. All academic programs reflect current workforce needs and are designed to give you the skills needed to get out and succeed in the workplace. Credit earned for this program can be applied toward Harper's Maintenance Technology Degree AAS Degree.

Application Procedure
3WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
