Program Description

This 60 credit hour program prepares students for employment in the fast-growing industrial maintenance service sector of urban society. Graduates may be employed directly in building maintenance as directors, manager, or operators for industrial and commercial properties. Take classes in electrical wiring, prints and schematics, carpentry, plumbing, heating principles, welding, mechanical and energy conservation codes, principles of supervision and more. All classes are taught by skilled instructors who are extremely knowledgeable in all areas of maintenance technology.

Application Procedure

3WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
