Program Description
This RN refresher course includes 51 classroom hours and 104 clinical hours. The first part of this unique program utilizes a blended approach that helps students hone their critical thinking skills, as they become familiar with the most current trends in nursing care. During the second part of the course, the nursing field experience provides the opportunity to put theory into practice in a clinical setting. This course is for students who have been licensed in the US and desire to return to a patient care setting. Program objectives: achieve 100% on the math for medications written quiz, participate in mandatory skills day, successfully complete oral medication pass exercise, demonstrate proper nursing documentation in a hospital setting.

Application Procedure
3WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan.4 The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

- Prerequisites - US registered nurses out of clinical practice for 5 or more yrs
- Other - Proof of current CPR credential before clinicals
