This 30-credit-hour program will prepare you to lead an infant/toddler classroom. Youll learn about childhood development, assessment, health and safety, and more. Harper College is home to the Early Childhood Laboratory School, an on-site preschool, where you can train under the guidance of certified education professionals. Credit earned for this certificate can be applied to the Early Childhood Education A.A.S. Application Procedure

WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $5,000.

  • Math - Per Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Reading - Per Placement Test Cut-off Scores
  • Language - Placement test or C or better in English 100
  • Writing - Placement test or C or better in English 100
  • Prerequisites - Background check and CPR Basic Rescuer
  • Other - WIOA students must have initial and ongoing academic advising
