Program Description
This 16 credit-hour certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in the additive manufacturing industry. This certificate focuses on print reading, computer drafting and 3D modeling, and an introduction to the fundamentals of additive manufacturing. Students will design and print parts using 3D modeling software and 3D printers. Coursework includes Engineering Graphics I (CAD), Introduction to Manufacturing and Safety, Print Reading for Industry, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Additive Manufacturing.

Application Procedure
WIOA and TAA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be shipped if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

- Other - WIOA students must have initial and ongoing academic advising
