Program Description

This 60 credit-hour program is designed to provide students with a sound understanding of the managerial requirements, qualifications, and procedures of the various available roles in aviation and will prepare students for management positions within the aviation industry. This program will provide support in the development and growth of students who are currently in and/or seeking to enter the aviation industry. Students will work with people, processes and information required to develop a broad set of skills to build a successful career in aviation management. An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Aviation Management opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities within the aviation industry, in areas like airport management, airline operations, and aviation safety. Aviation managers may oversee day-to-day airport operations, manage airline logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, or even working in customer service and ground support management. Application Procedure

WIOA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be ship if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan. Maximum Tuition and Fees for this program is $8000.00

Entry Requirements:

  • Math - Placement into MTH 101 or above
  • Reading - English 101 or 096 with grade P
  • Language - Placement in ENG101 or 096
  • Writing - ENG101 or ENG 096
  • Other - All credit-seeking WIOA clients must have initial & ongoing academic advising
