Program Description
This 66-hour Pharmacy Technician Training course will prepare you to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies or other health care settings. The program focuses on the foundational principles and concepts for successful participation in the pharmaceutical field. Topics include federal requirements, medication compounding, quality assurance, pharmaceutical calculations, patient safety, and everyday pharmacy operations.
This course prepares students to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) toward the CPhT credential (Certified Pharmacy Technician). Textbook and one voucher to take the PTCE are included in the course fees. Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment
